Cookie policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They're used, for example, to remember your preferences between visits. Some of the technologies described below aren't cookies in the strict sense (they use browser local storage instead), but serve an equivalent purpose and are included here for transparency.

2. Essential cookies (always active)

These are required for the site to work and don't need your consent:

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers which language you prefer to view the site in. First-party cookie (not third-party), lasting up to 1 year.
• cookie_consent — remembers your cookie choice ("accept all" or "essential only") so we don't ask again on every visit. Alongside the choice we store the date and time you made it and the version of this policy in force at that moment, so that consent can be demonstrated. Stored in your browser's local storage, not as an HTTP cookie, and never sent to any server.

3. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you choose "Accept all" in the cookie notice, we enable two analytics tools to understand how the site is used:

• Google Analytics 4 — cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>, lasting up to 2 years. Measures visits and browsing in aggregate.
• Vercel Analytics — uses no cookies at all. Identifies visits via an anonymous hash of the request, with no personal data, discarded after 24 hours.

If you choose "Essential only", neither of these tools is activated.

4. What we don't use

Casa Factory doesn't use advertising or social-media cookies (like Meta Pixel).

The Sofía chat assistant doesn't use cookies: the conversation lives only in your browser's memory while the tab is open. Its data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

If we add tools like these in the future, we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before activating them.

5. Managing your choice

You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer: it reopens the notice, and whatever you choose there replaces your earlier decision. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser. Note that blocking the NEXT_LOCALE cookie will only make the site forget your preferred language — it doesn't affect any other functionality.

6. Changes to this policy

If cookie use on this site changes, we'll update this document and its "last updated" date.
